5 Picks Against The Spread (26-14 Season Record)
Last week didn’t have the excitement of the week before, but a 3-2 finish has our record continuing to surge above .500. Let’s keep the winning streak going this week. As always here are five picks against the spread. (If you any receive boosted odds for a parlay be sure to bet all five of these games this weekend)
Commanders -4 on the road against the Giants. From a psychological perspective this looks like a trap game for Washington, coming off an emotional win against the Bears with a matchup against the Steelers looming next week, it would be easy to overlook the lowly Giants. But Dan Quinn has given me reason to think this team will be locked in, and it is a chance to bet against Daniel Jones. We may not have many of these opportunities left.
Saints -7 on the road against the Panthers. The Saints should look a lot better with the return of Derek Carr. Don’t forget the Saints already beat the Panthers 47-10 in week one. The Panthers are trading away the only weapons they have left, and they are starting Bryce Young again this week. Just like with Daniel Jones, there may not be a lot of opportunities left to bet against Bryce Young.
Patriots +3.5 on the road against the Titans. It’s unclear if Drake Maye will be able to play this weekend, but whether it is Maye or Brissett, I like the Patriots to cover and win outright this weekend. The Titans just traded their best receiver away and I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep moving pieces and look forward to the 2025 season. Meanwhile the Patriots seem like they want to win now.
Falcons -3 at home against the Cowboys. The Cowboys can’t win at home, so why would they win on the road? The biggest problem for the Cowboys is they can’t stop the run, well say hello to Bijan Robinson and the Falcons rushing attack. The Cowboys can’t run the ball either so I doubt they’ll be able to take advantage of a relatively weak Falcons D-Line.
Chargers -1.5 on the road against the Browns. I think Vegas is overrating the Browns after they shocked the Ravens last week. Jameis Winston is a huge upgrade from Deshaun Watson from Jameis is still liable to throw a pick at anytime, and the bad version of Jameis can lose the Browns the game instantly. I think the Chargers will win and then be active on the trade market looking to add a wide receiver.
The Chalk: All Odds From Bet MGM
Macon: No way the Los Angeles Rams lose, guys and gals.
Nate: I have a feeling about this Dallas game, Dallas is going to go into Atlanta and get the win. I bet the alternate line of Cowboys -7 at +400.
Ralph: Betting on Ohio State Football moneyline -160.
Kingston: The Cleveland Cavaliers are rolling right now (Ty Jerome absolutely balling off the bench). Look for them to keep it going tonight -7.5 at home against the Magic who just lost star Paulo Banchero to injury.
Reid: Boise State to cover 23.5 vs San Diego State
Tanner: Bronny James Over 1.5 points (-135).
Aidan: Patriots moneyline +150 (DET hangover).
Kevin: Put the absolute house on the Bears +1.
What We’re Watching:
Macon: I’m watching Severance for the first time. So far, so good. Just my speed.
Nate: I have been watching Desperate Housewives, such a great show.
Ralph: Watching Love is Blind Reunion and I don’t know if I’ve seen someone as delusional as Ramses.
Kingston: Going tonight to see The Piano Lesson at the Virginia Film Festival. I’ve been staying up to date with both Disclaimer and Shrinking. Shrinking is probably the best show on tv right now.
Reid: Special Operations: Lioness is out on Paramount Plus and that ish is dope. Give it a view, season 1 was very good.
Tanner: Detroiters on Netflix.
Aidan: Red Sox ‘04 The Comeback on Netflix, need another chip in Titletown.
Kevin: Just watching game film 24/7.
That would be correct, there is ONLY ONE Savior, Christ our Lord.
